Interesting 5's

As you may already know, there are websites online which claim this month has got 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, 5 Sundays. And further states that this ‘interesting’ occurrence happens only every 823 years. While it is true that there are 5 weekends in October as yours truly have checked on the cellphone calendar, the combination occurs far more often than 823 years. Googling on the subject, I discovered in a few websites that the same thing actually happened in 2004 and will happen again in 2021.

What is amazing is that many of us never really notice these ‘trivial’ matters and consider it an interesting event. Yes, a lot of us would probably do not see the significance of things such as this, because personally, what is in it for you or for me? But is it not also the same thing as when somebody mentions this kind of thing to us, we stop for a moment and think, ‘Ah, yeah, that is something…‘ and then we carry on with whatever it is we are doing after two seconds.

Just to say that despite our busy schedules and fast-paced life, sparing two seconds to ponder on this ‘interesting 5 weekend-month’ and think happy thoughts – what have you done in the last four Saturdays of this month?
